Georgia Vacation

Last week we got to go to a cabin.  On our way there, we got to stop at the Martin Luther King Jr. National park.  We visited the house he grew up in, and the Ebenezer church where he preached.  I thought it was amazing, but the kids were more than a little disinterested.  I guess we have a long way to go to teach civil rights and black history.

We spent the rest of the week hiking waterfalls, gem mining, tubing, and just playing in the great outdoors.  It was very beautiful there, and despite a few bug bites and having Isaac fall out of his tube for a few seconds, there were no real hiccups.

This was last Monday's excursion: Martin Luther King Jr. childhood home.

Despite his facial expression in this photo, Isaac assures me he loves ice cream.

This was a tree chair we found before walking on a swinging bridge.

Amicalola Falls. 600 steps up to the top.
