Summer has officially started at the Florida Archibald residence. Neither my kids nor the weather has waited for the official summer start date of June 21st. We started off by doing our first beach day last Wednesday. It was a big chore to get the kids out the door, but once we got there, I couldn't get them to leave.

Isaac's 10th birthday was the next day, Thursday. He is all about soccer right now, with his summer plans filled up with team training and soccer summer camps. He received a giant outdoor goal for his birthday, and wanted this cake toppers shown below for his birthday cake. He will have an actual birthday party a couple of weeks out, so more photos to follow.

Isaac's 10th birthday! Double digits baby! |
There are lots of programs for kids in the summer time here in Brevard county. They have free movies, granted they are old ones, the KidsBowlFree program, Library programs, and lots of parks and summer camps and Vacation Bible Schools. I have also signed them up for swim lessons, and I'm hoping to get a zoo pass pretty soon. This picture below is our first excursion to the bowling alley, which was what Isaac asked to do on his birthday. Isaac has this competitive spirit and was not happy when his sister beat him by one point on the 2nd game. Granted, they all have the kiddie bumpers up, but still, there's some pretty stiff competition going on in our household.
