Christmas Break

We had a cold spell this last week and a half here in Florida.  One day we even saw frost, and the temperature dropped to 3 degrees above freezing.  It was fun to see the kids break out the cold weather gear.  One day Isaac put on a hat and scarf to go outside, but refused to put on shoes or a coat.  I guess it's still not cold enough for shoes.

The temperature has increased enough that play dates with our neighbors have resumed.  Those kids have been playing together every day since Christmas break started.  Today Isaac told me that he wish that his little friend could be his brother and that Esther would belong to the neighbor's family.

It will be a little bit of a disappointment for Isaac to start up school and have his precious play time interrupted, but even if he's not grateful for school, I am.   It will be nice to have a schedule again.
